The solar cover or bubble cover (or isothermal cover) is used as soon as the swimming pool is put into service in the spring and until the end of autumn for Southern regions.
It has a number of advantages: limits evaporation, keeps the water clean, heats and maintains the water temperature, and reduces water consumption, heating and maintenance products. It is ecological and economic.
Produced to-measure and therefore adapted to your pool, the solar cover floats on the water and has 2 different sides:
• Water side: the bubbles act as thermal insulation.
• Visible side: UV resistant.
The thickness of the bubble cover is a selection criterion and corresponds to the thickness of the polyethylene film (bubbles not included). It is expressed in microns (1 micron = 0.001 mm). ALBON proposes 400 or 500 micron bubble covers.
The cover thickness is important. The thicker the cover, the higher the quality. If it is too thin, its service life will be shorter. Albon proposes 3 bubble cover qualities:
• Round 12 mm bubble (standard) in 400 μ.
• OXO - Alternating bubble shapes, round and X, in 500 μ.
• Geobubble™ - "Double-dome” bubbles, in 500 μ.
These qualities are available in 11 colours, 4 finishes and 3 qualities for a cover adapted to your needs and your budget.

This criterion is not just a decorative choice, it is also quality-related: the colour choice is for the underside of the cover (not visible), the clearer the cover, the more it will trap the infrared rays and the more it will be able to heat the water.

The Eco finish (without seam) is only recommended for small pools. On larger pools, we recommend the Duolis finishes (seam around the widths and selvedges) for better rolling and Quatro (with seam around the entire perimeter) for greater strength. Thus finished, the cover can also be rolled onto one of our rollers.

SOLO Economic version usable with a roller. • Polyethylene reinforcement sewn along one width with eyelets every 0.50m. Manufactured in UV treated corrugated polyethylene. Welded to-measure assembly in the workshop to the exact pool measurements. • Thickness : professional quality (400µ) or superior quality (500µ). • Cut: Cut-off corners are created instead of right angles or rounded corners < or = to 20cm.
